Better late than never

Two belated things that I really ought to have mentioned in dispatches from the previous couple of weeks. First of all, muchly enjoyed the BDO darts on the Beeb, especially the title win from Ted "The Count" Hankey, the man with what is, quite frankly, the best walk on in darts...

The other thing, sadly, was to mourn the loss of the mighty Ricardo Montalban, whose passing prompted nerds all over the world to simutaneously grab their communicators (?!) and angrily proclaim Khaaan!!!!!!!!!!!*

*Actually, I looked up at the sky while crossing the squinty bridge, stopped and shouted "Boss, the plane! the plane!" to much bemused indifference. Bah, fucking philistines...

I got the same cool stare from the wife when I gave it "Welcome to Fantasy Island"

Ricardo and Tony Hart...been a bad start to the year...time to crank up the old Karma machine another notch.

Patrick McGoohan and David Vine as well recently, it's damn well just not cricket. Surely an ebola outbreak within the cast of Eastenders isn't too much to ask for in the way of universal balance ???

It continues - Fergie Accies No1 fan died this week. Hammy ad gives him the full front pages and describes him as "unique".

I always remember him as he would always greet you with a friendly "ah yer bassit fukin shites ye!"

Sadly missed!

Fergie's dead!? That's what I get for moving to the land of the arch-rivals.

It has indeed been a sad year already, with all these luminaries passing away. One chink of light though, we have seen the passing of the "Dubya" years. Surely the world breathed a collective sigh of relief this week?
